Throughout his tenure in the mortgage banking and brokerage industries, Jim has trained numerous mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, mortgage insurance companies and real estate firms on best practices for qualifying homebuyers utilizing both manual and automated underwriting standards. Jim has trained thousands of loan officers, processors and real estate agents nationwide, on the proper deployment of Fannie Mae's Desktop Originator® and Desktop Underwriter®, Freddie Mac's Loan Prospector®, and FHA's TOTAL Mortgage Scorecard®. Jim's training style is unique to the lending and real estate communities. He talks the talk and walks the walk. He also understands that encouraging an often, non-technology-oriented audience to transition to a foreign way of doing business requires intense motivation and a very clear statement of benefits... addressing "what's in it for me and my client." Jim's approach to training is based on the premise that first and foremost, learning must be fun! To this end, Jim presents the humor that only a "trench" person knows and understands. His keen awareness of mortgage industry trends, coupled with his own industry perspectives and predictions, always add to his lively presentations. Jim has been a licensed REALTOR® since 1986 and has taught numerous courses for the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS®, Inc. as well as for The Graduate, REALTOR® Institute.
You see, Prabhjit started working in the real estate business at the ripe age of 13! He began by working with an agent specializing in foreclosure properties. Yes it is hard to believe - but it is true! When he moved to the Washington D.C. area, along with his family, they looked for a house for 7 YEARS! He had one real estate agent that they intermediately used throughout those 7 YEARS and they ended up not even using him, nor any other agent, when they finally settled on a house. The reason was simple- he was never looking out for them! And, more importantly, he did not have policies and procedures! Prabhjit learned much from this experience - what are the tactics that are used by real estate agents that never work as well as what buyers and sellers really want! After attending Johns Hopkins University and getting his degree in business and management he decided to go full-time into the field he knew - Real Estate, primarily buyer brokerage. He now has his own real estate brokerage, NAAAM Real Estate Inc., servicing Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, which continues to grow on referrals alone! Along with this, he has his own real estate school, Real Estate Empower Inc., which is an approved continuing education provider in the Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia. While he continues to be a trainer of 1000s of real estate agents at the Maryland Association of REALTORS®, Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS®, Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS®, Prince Georges County Association of REALTORS® and Pennsylvania Maryland Association of REALTORS®. In 2009, he encouraged two associations to get their REBAC licenses and another to begin to start providing REBAC courses after not offering them for years! He is now the sole instructor for all the REBAC courses provided by these three associations! He wants so much to share with real estate agents what he learned the hard way, which is why he travels to speak at real estate conferences across the United States.
Prabhjit just completed his first book entitled "Washington DC Salesperson and Broker Exam Review," and is now working on his second books "What is your Policy on Showing Properties?: Policies & Procedures for Real Estate Agents." In his free time, he enjoys photography, listening to religious music and going on vacations with his wife.
